Music and Worship Arts Ministries

The League City Music Ministry is comprised of many gifted individuals who operate as one body unified in spirit and with a heart of purity.

Our Purpose is to glorify, to humbly serve Him in a spirit of excellence as ministers of music, hope, love, and to lead others into His divine presence through thanksgiving, praise, and worship.

Our Mission is to inspire, encourage, train, and direct those whom God has called into the music ministry with a spirit of service, excellence, sensitivity, purity, humility, and strength.

One of the primary objectives of the music department is to experience and lead others into the manifest presence of God, according to biblical principles:

“…and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord: that then the house was filled with a cloud, so that the priest could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.” (II Chronicles 5:13-14)

Adult Music Ministries

Sanctuary Choir is a diverse group of adults that meet weekly on Thursday nights in the Chapel from 7:30 – 9:00 P.M. We do various genres of music from Cantatas, Spirituals, Anthems, Praise and various other styles to help develop the versatility of the singer, and help lead others into worship on Sunday Morning. We sing both the 8:30, and 11:00 A.M. Worship services and hope that you would join us as we raise our voice in praise unto the Lord.

JuBellaté Ringers is comprised of adults with all backgrounds of music to ring praises unto God. This group meets on Thursday nights from 6:15 – 7:15 P.M. in Room 132 and they play various genres of music throughout the year. Come join them as use their instruments to praise the Lord.

Praise and Worship Band is a group that helps to lead our 11:00 A.M. Worship service. It is comprised of people who have various backgrounds in music and are gifted in leading the congregation in Worship on Sunday mornings. Audition Required.

Music Zone Children’s Choruses and Chimes/Bells

Treble Maker’s Choir: The Treble Maker’s Chorus is for children 3 & 4 years old. Rehearsals are held on Sunday mornings in the 3 year old classroom from 9:35 – 9:45 a.m. They sing during worship services on special occasions.

Joy Notes Choir is an exciting musical adventure where every Kindergarten, First, and Second grader is welcome. Rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons from 3:00 – 3:30 P.M. in the chapel. This choir shares their gifts of praising God through singing, movement, and no experience is necessary to join; Just bring your voice and smile!

The Downbeat Choir is a choir that is specifically designed for 3rd – 5th graders. Here they learn basic music theory along with the playing of various instruments. Rehearsals are held in Room 139 (Choir Room) from 2:45 – 3:30 P.M. and are all are welcome to come and join us as we praise the Lord through song, dance, and instruments.

Rainbow Bells is open to all Kindergarten and 1st graders. Here children will learn basic note counting and fundamental music theory. Rehearsals are held every Sunday afternoons at 3:30 – 4:00 P.M. Come and join Rainbow Bells as they learn how to play an instrument of praise to the Lord.

Children’s Chimes is a hand chime group open to all 2nd -5th graders. Here children build on the fundamental theory they have learned previously, and build on basic note reading. Rehearsals are held in Room 132, and rehearse on Sunday afternoons at 3:30 – 4:00 P.M. Come join us as we lift our instruments of praise to the Lord.
