Foundation for the Future

Current status

The LCUMC Foundation for the Future campaign to purchase 22 acres at the corner of League City Parkway and Calder Road at I-45 is coming to a close in 2009.

The land has been cleared and we have been using it for the League City Music Festival and we have held services on the property.  We have even had a baptism on the new property!

The loan was for approximately $1,500,000.  As of February 2009, the balance is approximately $425,000.  Total receipts through the end of Bebruary are $1,233,811, or about 73% of the pledge total.  (We sold a small portion of the land to TxDOT for about $265,000.)

Through the end of January:

   16% of the pledges have been paid in full,

   Another 37% have paid over 76%

So, over 53% of the pledges have either been paid of are within 25% or less of being paid in full.
