ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL
There’s Something for Everyone!
League City United Methodist Church offers 11 different Adult Sunday School Classes each of which meets weekly on Sunday morning from 9:55 - 10:45 AM. You are invited to visit several classes and choose the one whose personality fits you best!
AGE-SPECIFIC CLASSES:
HIGHER GROUND Room 125
A new class comprised of married and single young adults in their 20’s and 30’s who study relevant topics and seek to be disciples of Jesus Christ. This group is a “sister” group with the Voyagers and they get together regularly for gatherings and projects outside of class time. This is a great way to “get connected” within the life of the church!
VOYAGERS Room 123
The Voyagers are primarily comprised of single and married adults in their 20’s - 40’s who study topics which enhance their Christian walk. This class is extremely active in the church with almost every class member actively involved in one or more church activities, committees, etc. The class enjoys being together, whether it's doing service projects around the church, eating dinner together at a restaurant or gathering at someone's home for a party and fellowship.
SHEPHERDS Room 205
A class comprised of couples and singles ages 30's -50's with children that range in age from toddlers to teens. The class enjoys studying the Bible as well as other topics relevant to their lives including topics that focus on parenting and raising children. There are family gatherings that include children and nights out without the children.
UPPER ROOM Room 202
A class comprised of adults in their 40’s and 50’s. The class has a spiritual and service emphasis. Lessons are Bible-based and fellowship oriented. Activities include events for adults, families, and nights out for the women. Individuals in the class are active professionals, trying to make their world more Christ-like.
FAMILY TIES Room 132
A class comprised of single and married adults in their late 30’s through early 50’s. This class enjoys a laugh or two (they’ve even studied the Bible’s messages as presented by the Beverly Hillbillies!!) and enjoys confronting controversies that exist in our world today from the Christian perspective.
PAIRS & SPARES Room 201
A class comprised of single and married adults in their 40’s through 60’s who enjoy hearing and discussing different ideas about scripture and the Christian experience. Most of our children are out of the house, so our interests have changed from “parenting” to “grandparenting” and dealing with life in the middle years.
SEEKERS Room 203
A class comprised of adults 50+ who study a variety of Bible-to-life issues. The class members are motivated and inspired in their participation and service to the church on a daily basis, and they also enjoy getting together for food, fun and fellowship outside of class time.
EXPLORERS Room 128
A class of adults 60+ who place emphasis on investigating Bible passages with a historical perspective and with an eye to application and relevance for today. The class members are involved in service projects within the walls of the church and in the world outside the church walls.
MULTI-AGE CLASSES:
ADULT BIBLE CLASS Room 135
A lecture-based, Bible centered class comprised of people of all ages.
WOMEN OF THE WELL Room 134
A class comprised of women of all ages who focus on the values, service and ties of the family of God to all God’s children. The class offers lessons of hope, wisdom, generosity, love, integrity, courage and humility with an emphasis on strengthening our relationship with God and our worship of Jesus through the study of God’s Word and Spirit-led discussions.
NEWFOUND FRIENDS: Room 204
A class comprised of people of all ages who have come together to “be the body of Christ” for one another by praying for each other during the week, studying together, sharing with each other, and fellowshipping with one another.
